Children

We believe children are a blessing from God and essential members of our church family.

Worship Service

We believe that God intends for families to worship Him together and that the church should not separate children from their parents in the assembly of the saints. Because of this conviction, we do not provide a separate children’s church during the service. Instead, we rejoice in worshiping alongside our children and teaching them by example how to faithfully praise the Lord in public worship. For parents with young children, we offer a cry room and an unstaffed nursery. Additionally, we recognize the importance of age-appropriate instruction, and we strive to provide opportunities for children to learn at their level in various ways.

Children's Bulletin

Each week, we offer an interactive bulletin for children to help them follow along with the main points and theme of the sermon.

Sunday School

Every Sunday at 9:30 AM, the elders lead children’s Sunday School, where the Baptist Catechism for Kids is taught. Instruction is provided for two age groups: 3-5 years old and 6 and up.

Sermon Review

On Monday evenings, we encourage families to gather for a time of teaching with their children, as one of the Elders reviews the sermon from the previous Sunday in a way that is accessible to them. This time is meant to reinforce what they heard on Sunday, help them pay attention during the sermon, fill out their bulletin, and grow in their understanding of the sermons and their application as they are preached.

Family Worship

At the heart of all our children’s ministries is the conviction that parents bear the primary responsibility for educating and discipling their children, raising them in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Therefore, we are committed to equipping parents for this important work. We provide a variety of resources for family worship, along with parenting seminars and targeted discipleship to help parents instruct their children in the faith.

Homeschool and Schooling Assistance

Redeemer has a strong homeschooling community and has established a learning community for all ages that meets weekly. We also offer financial assistance to families in our care seeking education options outside the public school system. For more information on either of these, please contact the elders.
